The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory conducted 109 tests for novel coronavirus (COVID-19) yesterday and the results were all negative for the viral illness.

No one will be released from isolation today so the number still positive for the disease remains at six, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health and Wellness today.

Testing for COVID-19 in Barbados began on February 11 and the first two cases were diagnosed on March 16. Since then, 96 people have tested positive, 83 of them have recovered and seven have died.

The public health laboratory has now conducted 6 558 tests. (BGIS)
