In addition to the two men charged with murdering Kadeem Brathwaite, a third person has been charged with a number of offences in relation to his death.
Brathwaite, 28, formerly of Butler’s Avenue, Spooners Hill, St Michael, was fatally shot on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at Pioneer Road, Bush Hall, St Michael.
A statement from police today said personnel attached to the Criminal Investigation Department of the District ‘A’ Police Station charged Javone Rommel Haynes, 20, of Syndicate Road, Bush Hall, St Michael and Julius Dmario Ifill, 27, of Richard’s Land, Bush Hall, St Michael with the murder of Brathwaite.
Both accused appeared at the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 15, before Magistrate Christie Cuffy-Sergeant where they were not required to plead. They were both remanded to HMP Dodds and are to appear again on Monday, July 13,  in the same court.
Also charged is 27-year-old Chad Seymour McCollin of Rock Hall, St George.
He is accused of: Possession of a firearm without a licence and possession of 40 rounds of ammunition (of various calibres) without a permit.Â
He appeared at the District ‘D’ Magistrates’ Court before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes. He was not required to plead. He was remanded to HMP Dodds and is set to reappear on Monday, July 13. (PR/KG)
