Share post:

The Barbados Drug Service has extended the grace period granted to parents, as a result of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown, to obtain Barbados national identification cards for newborns.

The grace period of six weeks has now been extended to July 31, which allows all parents with children born between February 10 and June 15 to obtain their children’s ID cards.

Parents are reminded that the Barbados national ID card is a requirement to access medication listed on the Barbados Drug Formulary free of cost at the point of service on behalf of children under 16 years. (BGIS)
