Government today reminded public workers whose net monthly pay is $3 000 and above that they must complete and submit the Public Sector Worker Option Form for the Barbados Optional Savings Scheme (BOSS) by June 26.

In a statement, the Ministry of the Public Service said a number of people had already emailed the forms to their Accounts Section and encouraged those who had not, to immediately complete and submit theirs.

“Public officers are further reminded that they may call 536-2677, for assistance in completing the form. The option form is currently on Government websites and has also been sent to the email accounts of eligible public officers.

“BOSS programme is aimed at providing public sector workers with savings and investment opportunities. They will take a portion of their salary in bonds and receive a five per cent interest rate per annum, to be paid semi-annually, with no withholding tax on the money earned.” (BGIS)
