Members of the media have been barred from entering the courtyard and the courtroom of the Magistrates Courts at District A, Bridgetown, this Saturday.

When they turned up this morning, a barricade had been placed across the access by the arch, and they were told they could not enter.

Dwayne Omar Gittens, 35, of No Fixed Place of Abode, is scheduled to appear today. He is charged with two counts of murder – contractor Glenroy James and photojournalist Christoff Griffith – both incidents occurring on June 22, 2020 at Bishop’s Court, St Michael.

Discussions have been taking place with police public relations officer Inspector Rodney Inniss about this turn of events. (Nation News)
