The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) today advised customers in St Lucy, St Peter, St John and St Joseph that low pressure or water outages will continue as low reservoir levels and reduced capacity continue to be an issue at its Hope, Lamberts and Bowmanston facilities.
The BWA tanker crews “will continue to make every effort to service residents in the affected areas supplied by these systems”.
In a media release, the BWA reminded everyone that even though the Hurricane Season has begun, the island is still being affected by a prolonged drought.
“You are reminded that you must store water to assist yourself and your family on an ongoing basis and particularly at this time. As usual we reiterate five gallons per person, per day, per household for a minimum of five days or as much as your household requires.” (PR)
