Man on firearm charge remanded

A man who was charged in relation to an incident in the area of the Flash Zone Bar on Sunday, July 12, 2020, has been remanded.

Police charged Rasheed Omar Alleyne, 26, of Block 1C, Ocean Road, Deacons Farm, St Michael with the following criminal offences which occurred along Black Rock Main Road, St Michael, in the area of the bar: Use of firearm, two counts of endangering life and two counts of serious bodily harm.

Alleyne appeared at the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant today, where he was not required to plead to the charges.

A statement from police said he was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prisons Dodds, St Philip and is scheduled to reappear on Thursday, August 13.  (PR)
