When the new semester at Ross University begins in September, teaching will be conducted virtually.

However, associate dean of medical sciences, Dr Rhonda McIntyre, said they would consider returning to the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre (LESC) once it’s fully safe to do so.

In March, the coronavirus pandemic forced the Adtalem Global Education- owned, Barbados-based school of medicine to halt physical teaching at the Two Mile Hill, St Michael facility, part of which they occupied for more than a year after they relocated from Dominica.

As a result, most of the 1 300 Ross students flew home to be with their families in various parts of the world where they continued to learn online. (TG)
