Three more Category One shelters

There are three additional Category One shelters that can house 724 people.

A statement from Government said two are privately owned: Dunamis Outreach Ministries of the Wesleyan Holiness Church, Staple Grove, Christ Church, with a capacity for 93 people; and the Ellerton Wesleyan Holiness Church, Ellerton, St George, which can accommodate 24 people.

The third shelter is the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre in Two Mile Hill, St Michael, which can house 607 people. Each shelter has potable water and wheelchair access. (BGIS)
