Flash-flood watch in effect

A flash-flood watch is in effect for Barbados from 5 p.m. Saturday until 6 a.m. Sunday.

Additionally, the Met Office is also advising residents of severe thunderstorm and associated lightning activity.

Rainfall accumulation of 25 to 55 mm is forecast and residents and visitors should be prepared for significant runoff from higher elevations, while flooding at the foot of hillsides and coastal roads is possible. (PR/SAT)
