I am not sick and I am not staying home.
That, said prison officer David Davis, was what he told prison officer Trevor Browne when the latter asked him to “call in sick”.
Browne, of Juniper Close, Cane Garden, St Thomas, who is head of the Prison Officers Association, is accused of maliciously endeavouring to seduce Stephenson Trotman, a prison officer, from his duty on May 4, 2018. He is also charged with maliciously endeavouring to seduce prison officers Shanell Ellis-Vaughn, David Davis and Ophneal Austin from their duties between May 1 and 9, 2018.
Davis told the District “D” Magistrates’ Court on Friday that he was in “quarters” of Her Majesty’s Prisons Dodds when Browne, a sergeant, approached and asked him how he was “working the next day”. (HLE)
