Barbadian teenage striker Thierry Gale has signed a three-year professional contract with eight-time Hungarian Cup champions Budapest Honvéd FC.

It’s the most exciting news for the 18-year-old who agreed to personal terms and secured a work permit to play in one of Europe’s biggest football leagues.

While no transfer fee was attached, Gale will be paid an undisclosed salary in Euros monthly and has been given the No. 34 jersey.

The senior trident was set to make his debut yesterday against PAFC in the Nemzeti Bajnoksag league, but the match was postponed due to concerns about the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. (AG-B)
