Police are investigating the apparent deaths of a newborn twin at Rendezvous, Christ Church.

According to a release from police, the two-week old babies were being breast fed by their mother on Wednesday when she allegedly fell asleep, leaning forward in a position which caused her breasts to block their airways.

When police arrived at the home, the two babies, who lived with their parents and other relatives, were unresponsive.

A medical doctor pronounced death about 11:21 p.m.  (PR/SAT)
