Two Bajans among four new COVID cases

Two Barbadians and two visitors tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, raising the number of cases recorded here to 170.

They are a 48-year-old Barbadian man who arrived on JetBlue on August 15 and is positive on his second test, as well as a 22-year-old Barbadian female who had contact with a visitor from the United Kingdom.

A 21-year-old Trinidadian woman who arrived yesterday aboard a Caribbean Airlines repatriation flight from Trinidad and a 24-year-old female visitor who arrived on British Airways on August 27, round out the new cases.

 

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory conducted 242 tests on Friday.

No one will be discharged from isolation on Saturday, so there are now 22 people in isolation, and recoveries remain at 141.

The laboratory completed 16 780 tests. (BGIS)
