Jamal Ramsay was treated at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for a gunshot injury after an incident at Gall Hill, Christ Church, on Monday night.
Police are now carrying out investigations into the shooting which occurred around 8:05 p.m. in the vicinity of a bar in the area.
Ramsay, 31, was taken to the hospital by car.
