An elderly man was stabbed in The City earlier this afternoon.
The incident occurred on High Street, and drew a crowd of onlookers.
Police officers were quickly on the scene and subdued a man, while others rushed to assist the victim.
Pedestrians and a worker at one of the shops were seen administering attention.
An ambulance was summoned.
