Police identify shooting victim

A man who was shot and killed at Golden Rock, The Pine, St Michael on Wednesday has been identified as 38-year-old Randy Selman.

Police said the occurred around 8:37 p.m. and reports indicated that a number of men were seen running away from the scene afterwards. Police are seeking the public’s assistance as they investigate this and another shooting incident, where one man was injured. Both occurred on Wednesday.

Selman of #50 Golden Rock, The Pine, was later discovered with a head injury. The victim was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) by private vehicle, where he was later pronounced dead.

In the other shooting incident at Halls Road, also in St Michael, police said a 27-year-old man was shot in the abdomen around 8:33 p.m. and was taken to the QEH by private car.
