Bad choices and bad company.
That was the excuse Niko Antonio James gave yesterday for a string of aggravated burglaries, including the restaurant at Golden Sands Hotel, and other offences he faced in the No. 4 Supreme Court.
But James told the court he was not a bad person and should be making a contribution to society.
James, 25, of Silver Hill, Christ Church, pleaded guilty, at a previous Sitting of the Continuous Sittings, to five counts of entering Mohammed Patel’s house on January 18, 2018, and stealing two cell phones and $1 700 belonging to him; a cell phone and $50 belonging to Asef Mangera; $300 belonging to Latif Patel; a cell phone and $350 belonging to Ahmed Kara, and a cell phone and $50 belonging to Ismail Hans, while armed with a firearm.
