Darian King wasn’t feeling much love from Paris.

The king won’t be making the main draw of Roland Garros after losing his first-round qualifying match against Bernard Tomic at the French Open Sunday.

Playing on court six, the 26-year-old Bajan baseliner lost a tough first-set tiebreak en route to a 7-6 (4), 6-0 defeat to the former world No.17 Australian.

It served as revenge for last year’s Memphis Open, where King stunned Tomic in a surprising straight-sets victory at the ATP 250 event.

And King got off to a good start here too after going toe to toe with Tomic while hitting more winners and committing fewer unforced errors than the one-time Wimbledon quarter-finalist

But the world No.167 dropped a hard tiebreaker and then Tomic rattled off six straight games to close out the contest. (JM)
