People who fall into Category One for COVID-19 swabbing will be accommodated at the Branford Taitt Polyclinic and the Best-dos Santos Testing Facility from January 11, 2021, starting at 8:30 a.m.

It was previously announced that the Glebe Polyclinic would be one of the two testing facilities for Category One.

People in Category One are: medical officers, primary contacts, Royal Barbados Police Force personnel, Her Majesty’s Prison Dodds staff and inmate, Barbados Defence Force personnel, all medical personnel, immigration officers, border security, Barbados Port Inc., customs officers, patients awaiting tests for medical treatment and patients in medical care facilities.

Additionally, the Branford Taitt and Eunice Gibson Polyclinics will be open for testing on Sunday, January 10 from 8 a.m. to noon.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness says the change is due to current logistical and staffing challenges. (BGIS)
