Skipper Kraigg Brathwaite believes the West Indies have learnt their lesson and are ready for the spin bowling challenge likely to confront them on the cricket tour of Bangladesh.

Brathwaite was thrust into the role of Test captain after regular captain Jason Holder, vice-captain Roston Chase and eight other players opted out of the tour because of health and safety concerns over the COVID-19 virus.

Speaking yesterday, the day the team ended their quarantine after arriving in the capital of Dhaka, Brathwaite said he was hoping to erase the disappointment of the last tour of Bangladesh in 2018.

Two years ago, he was stand-in captain for the injured Holder and led the side in two Tests, both ending in defeat. (AR)
