Holder’s Super50 vision

Jason Holder was the Barbados Pride cricket captain when they won the West Indies Super50 Cup three years ago.

The Pride will return to Antigua and Barbuda, the scene of the 2017 triumph, hoping the world-rated all-rounder will bring his playing skills and leadership to the table, when they embark on their quest for an eighth Super50 Cup crown next month.

Holder was named captain of a strong 15-member squad for the competition and will have plenty to prove, as the Pride try to put the horrific show in last year’s semi-final behind them.

Pride were dismissed for 119 in 31.3 overs and West Indies Emerging Players, the eventual winners, beat them by three wickets in the semi-finals at Queen’s Park Oval. (AR)
