People whose homes were affected during last week’s raging fire at the Crane Resort were feeling a little disappointed after management informed them that the hotel would not be cleaning their homes.

However, following enquiries from the MIDWEEK NATION, management had a change of heart and said yesterday evening that cleaning services would be provided for residents from today.

The fire occurred last Friday night, damaging the St Philip resort’s laundry and storerooms, while houses in the immediate area were affected by the billowing smoke.

An upset resident told this newspaper that following the fire, six of the affected households in Olive Drive were informed by management that their homes would be cleaned and laundry services provided by the hotel. However, on Monday, they received telephone calls from an official at the hotel informing them this would no longer be done. (MB)
