Christ Church East Barbados Labour Party (BLP) candidate Wilfred Abrahams says Barbados is ready for a new type of representatives.

The opening speaker at a joint BLP meeting in Six Roads for St Philip South and St Philip West candidates, Indar Weir and John King on a rainy Friday night, Abrahams lauded the two parliamentary hopefuls.

He said Weir “is a businessman who looks out for the small man” while King is “an entertainer turn politician who speaks out for the small man and is a voice for the voiceless.”

He also referred to Dr Sonia Browne, the BLP candidate for St Philip North as “a quiet giant” who doesn’t waste words. (EZS)
