Crop Over Xplosion on Broad Street

The Crop Over Festival is quickly approaching.

And on Friday morning commuters in Bridgetown got a glimpse of what’s to come when the National Cultural Foundation (NCF) held a press launch for the upcoming First Citizens Crop Over Xplosion.

This June 2 event which was formerly the Crop Over Opening Gala, will return to King George V Park, St Philip.

Moments after the announcement was made by event producer Alison Sealy-Smith, the NCF’s acting chief executive officer Wayne Webster and acting CEO of First Citizens Robin Lewis, a cultural spectacle spilled over onto Broad Street.

There were performances by stilt men, a tuk band, several Mother Sally dancers and the acrobatic shaggy bears. (TG)
