After making a return to the West Indies team, Fidel Edwards is now dreaming of playing in the International Cricket Council’s Men’s Twenty20 World Cup, slated for October-November in India.

The 39-year-old experienced right-arm fast bowler has been named in the West Indies T20 squad for the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka in Antigua after a nine-year absence from international cricket.

But during an exclusive interview with SATURDAY SPORT yesterday, Edwards said his aim was also to feature in the World Cup from October 18 to November 15.

“The World Cup is coming up and that is something I am aiming for as well. I always set myself goals, and for me, right now, my goal is to play and perform to the best of my ability in this series first. I just want to do well and help the team to do well,” he said.
