It took taxi operator Neil Waldron several attempts to track down the owner of a purse he found.

But despite hitting a few dead ends, he was determined to return the purse and all of its contents to Joyanne Butcher, who misplaced it last Thursday after she visited the National Housing Corporation (NHC) on Country Road, St Michael.

Fortunately, after reaching out via Facebook, making calls and asking around, Waldron was able to return the purse to Butcher on Saturday, ending her distress.

“I was going to the Treasury Department [now located in the NHC building] and due to the pandemic to get in you have to write down your ID card number. But I couldn’t remember my card number and that was when I realised I didn’t have my purse,” Butcher recalled. (TG)
