Nine new virus cases, four people recover

Three men and six women make up the new coronavirus (COVID-19) positive cases identified on Wednesday, April 14.

They were among the 562 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory. Four people also recovered and were discharged. There are now 80 people in isolation.

Barbados has recorded 3 753 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (1,825 females and 1 928 males), since March 2020, and 3 638 people have recovered.  There have been 44 deaths from the viral illness.

A total of 147 290 tests have been conducted by the public health laboratory from February, last year.

To date, 66 069 vaccinations – 27 239 men and 38 830 women – have been administered as part of the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19. (BGIS)
