Nine new COVID-19 cases

There were nine new COVID-19 positive cases – four males and five females – recorded on Wednesday, April 21, from the 365 tests carried out by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

Meanwhile, 12 people recovered from the viral illness and there are currently 84 in isolation.

Barbados’ confirmed cases of COVID-19 moved to 3 806 (1 853 females and 1 953 males) and there were 3 716 recoveries. Forty-four people died from the virus.

The public health laboratory conducted 150 191 tests, since February 2020.

To date, 71 350 vaccinations were administered to 29 471 men and 41 879 women. (BGIS)
