A “misunderstanding” between a tenant and a landlord has left a mother of two without a place to call home and she is appealing to the public for assistance.

“My landlord told me on Monday that by Friday I have to find somewhere to go because workmen coming to repair the house,” said Nakita “Muscle Kat” Jones outside the house in Nelson Street, The City, on Thursday.

“I told her okay and I started to pack because I understood the house needed repairs. On Wednesday she came and said the carpenter coming on Thursday instead, so I slept down by my boyfriend.

“I came back just after 7 o’clock, the carpenter had the door off and things from inside my bedroom, taking my things and putting them outside. My son was in the bedroom sleeping and he was stepping over taking up things and putting out things. (SB)
