Residents in Duncans Link Road, St Philip, expressed concern about the well-being of one of their neighbours, who received gunshot wounds yesterday when his house was invaded by an unknown assailant.

Police said the incident occurred around 2:20 a.m. and the 56-year-old man, whom they have not identified, was shot in the left side of his jaw, left side of the chest, left side of the shoulder and left side of the upper back.

He was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.

When a Saturday Sun team visited the area, the injured man was not at home. However, they said they hoped his injuries were not life-threatening and that he would recover quickly. (SB)
