Jamaican fast bowler Marquino Mindley has tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the Cricket West Indies training camp in St Lucia.
Following PCR tests administered on Friday for all members of the red-ball contingent, Mindley was positive on his second COVID-19 test.
The 26-year-old, who is asymptomatic, will now go into self-isolation in his hotel room under the supervision of the Cricket West Indies medical team.
All other members of the training squad and coaching staff were retested and isolated in their rooms. They all returned negative COVID-19 results. Training was cancelled over the weekend but is now set to resume on Monday in small groups at the Darren Sammy Cricket Ground.
The West Indies red ball training camp is being held in a bio-secure environment in preparation for the ICC World Test Championship two match home series against South Africa which begins on June 10. (AGB)
