From today, Barbadians will get a chance to have their say on the draft Integrated Coastal Zone Management Plan.

There will be eight public forums, starting today, World Oceans Day, with the first meeting focusing on the areas from South Point in Christ Church to Kitridge, St Philip.

“All comments, questions and queries will be considered and will assist in enhancing the plan for the coastal zone management. In addition to the eight planned virtual public meetings, this plan will also be widely circulated to all of our stakeholders and is available online for viewing and feedback,” Minister of Maritime Affairs and the Blue Economy, Kirk Humphrey, said in a statement read by his Permanent Secretary Sonia Foster during an online launch of the process.

Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, during her address, said the draft plan was an integrated national initiative for the resilient development of the nation. (RA)
