Barbados end World Cup qualifying campaign with a draw

Barbados ended their Concacaf FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign with a 1-1 draw against Dominica Tuesday night at the Felix Sanchez Olympic Stadium in the Dominican Republic.

Following a goalless first half, Emile Samovici broke the deadlock for Russell Latapy’s men in the 48th minute.

However, nine minutes later Julian Wade scored the equaliser to ensure the points were shared.

Barbados finished third in Group D with five points. Panama advance from the group with 12 points, Dominican Republic were second with seven and Anguilla brought up the rear with zero. (AGB)
