One new virus case

One new case of coronavirus (COVID-19), a female, was identified on Thursday, June 17, out of the 580 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

Twelve people remain in isolation.

A total of 4 040 confirmed cases of the viral illness (1 953 females and 2 087 males) have been recorded since March 2020.

There have been 47 deaths from the virus.

The public health laboratory has conducted 178 904 tests, so far.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 90 735 people have received their first dose to date.

Meanwhile, 64 688 people have received their second dose and are fully inoculated. (BGIS)
