Some workers of the Supreme Court Complex have been reassigned to other departments.

Following a meeting between officials of the National Union of Public Workers (NUPW), Attorney General Adriel Brathwaite, Chief Justice Sir Marston Gibson and Registrar Barbara Cooke-Alleyne on Tuesday, the decision was taken for those who opted to continue working.

This confirmation was given by NUPW general secretary Roslyn Smith, who held an impromptu meeting with these workers earlier this morning.

NATIONNEWS also learnt that while all other courts remained closed, Court No. 5 was in session dealing with bail matters as directed by Justice Pamela Beckles.

The court has been facing environmental challenges. (RA)
