The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) said today that many of the pumping stations are online.

“However, we have some pockets in our distribution systems that are still to be fully charged. These include some areas in St Lucy, St Thomas, St John, St Joseph and Christ Church. Most of the elevated areas may still not be receiving a pipe-borne supply,” a statement said.

The BWA said its teams continue to work with the Barbados Light & Power to have the pumping stations fully restored.

Additionally, “water tanker crews are fully engaged servicing customers and refilling the community tanks”.

BWA said, however, that there may be delays due to heavy demand.

To report any service outages, please call 434-4292, or report via BWA’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

BWA’s services were interrupted as a result of Hurricane Elsa. (PR)
