11 new virus cases

Eleven new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), four females and seven males, were identified from among the 679 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Wednesday, July 7.

There are 40 people in isolation.

A total of 4 119 cases of the viral illness (1 992 females and 2 127 males) have been recorded since March last year. As of Wednesday, forty-seven people had died as a result of the virus.

The public health laboratory has carried out 191 428 tests since February 2020.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 95 836 first doses have been administered, while 71 918 people have received their second dose and are fully vaccinated. (BGIS)
