108 in COVID isolation

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified 17 new COVID-19 cases – six males and 11 females – from the 898 tests conducted on Tuesday, July 13.

The number of people in isolation is 108.

Barbados recorded 4 213 confirmed cases of COVID-19, comprising 2 039 females and 2 174 males since March last year. The virus claimed 48 lives.

Tests carried out by the public health laboratory reached 196 880.

Under the National Vaccination Programme, 96 658 people received first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. There are also 72 778 people or 26.9 per cent of the population, who are fully vaccinated after being given second doses. (BGIS)
