The Sargassum Seaweed has once again seen an abundance of amber fish being netted by fishermen.

However, some vendors at the Bridgetown Fisheries Complex are having a difficult time getting the yellow tail fish sold. Around 9 a.m. yesterday at the Princess Alice Highway market, several fishermen were seen offloading buckets of the fish, which they caught after spending days at sea.

Long-time fisherman and captain of Sun Sea II Austin Small said although the fishing trends shifted due to climate change, he was grateful they were still finding fish.

“Right now we getting a few small dolphins, some turpits, but a lot of amber fish. That’s mostly what we are catching right now and it’s better than nothing at all because usually around this time you hardly catch anything and things changing.
