Drastic changes are in store for graduations this year in keeping with the COVID-19 gathering restrictions.

It will have an deep impact on the farewell ceremonies for those who sat the Barbados Secondary Schools Entrance Examination on Wednesday.

Under the COVID-19 directives no more than 100 people can attend a graduation event which is leaving school principals no choice but to make the drastic changes as the pandemic pushed the exam date well into the break following the Trinity term.

Principal of Wesley Hall Junior School Herbert Gittens said it meant his school scrapped the traditional graduation altogether and there was no prize for good performance as the results have not been returned as yet. (CA)
