Keisha Mitchell, 37, one of three victims of a deadly fire in their First Avenue Chapman Lane, St Michael home on July 10, has passed away.
Keisha has passed away three weeks after her 58-year-old mother Janice Mitchell, one of the victims, succumbed to her injuries. Keisha was airlifted to Florida for further treatment after her mother died.
Janice Mitchell’s partner Anthony “Peter”Amey today confirmed Keisha’s death.
Just after 1 p.m., today, a MIDWEEK NATION team approached Amey as he was leaving a neighbour’s house.
The teary-eyed man, with his head bowed and a slow gait, said he was devastated and wanted justice for his loved ones.
“I just heard that she [Keisha] died overseas,” he said, wiping tears. “I’m hurt, I feel really bad and I am worried about the little girl [Halee].”
On July 17, Keisha was airlifted to Florida, for further treatment after being in intensive care at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH).
Her mother died on Tuesday, July 13 and her one-year-old daughter remains hospitalised there.
The fire broke out at the Mitchell residence on July 10, around 2:30 a.m.
Brian Oneal Browne, of Eastbourne #1, St Philip, was charged with the murder of Janice Mitchell. (SB)
