13 new virus cases, 107 people in isolation

Five males and eight females were diagnosed with coronavirus (COVID-19). The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory conducted 1 487 tests on Wednesday, August 11.

There are currently 107 people in isolation.

To date, Barbados has recorded 4 509 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (2 192 females and 2 317 males). There have been 48 deaths.

Since February 2020, the laboratory has carried out 234 495 tests.

Public health officials have administered 100 760 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. The number of people who have received second doses and are fully vaccinated is 82 733. These individuals represent 30.5 per cent of the population. (BGIS)
