103 in COVID isolation

Twelve new COVID-19 cases, five males and seven females, were identified by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

There were 1 091 tests conducted on Sunday, August 15 and 103 people are in isolation.

To date, 4 560 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (2 220 females and 2 340 males) have been recorded. Forty-eight persons have died from the virus.

A total of 240 306 tests were carried out by the public health laboratory.

First doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered under the National Vaccination Programme reached 101 099. Additionally, 85 672 people (31.6 per cent of the population) received second doses and are fully vaccinated. (BGIS)
