Man facing firearm, ammunition charges

Officers from the Anti-gun & Anti-gang Unit yesterday charged 28-year-old Katani Jalani Emmanuel Callender of Risk Road, Fitts Village, St James in connection with two offences.

He was charged with possession of a firearm without a licence to do so, and possession of ammunition without being the holder of a permit to do so.

Callender was arrested about 5:50 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, at St Silas #1, St James, where he was found in possession of a 9mm pistol and eight rounds of ammunition.

He was expected to appear in Holetown Magistrate’s Court at 9 o’clock this morning. (PR)
