Despite the short notice, some churches swiftly switched gears under the new COVID-19 health protocols for services yesterday.

For some, it was back to online streaming following Government’s announcement of the new protocols.

On Saturday, Attorney General Dale Marshall clarified some of the changes Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley announced on Friday, which included a limit of 25 people for in-house worship and a six-foot physical distancing protocol.

This followed Minister of Health Jeffrey Bostic’s revelation that 13 of the 48 new cases last Friday were from a church. Government also announced plans to meet with the leaders of various faith-based organisations. (SB)
