Radical Investments Limited (RIL) now has until tomorrow to produce to the United States District Court of Florida, proof of the citizenship of each of the individuals it is suing in the alleged US$10 million scam involving AstraZeneca vaccines.
When the case came up before District Court Judge, Aileen M. Cannon, last Friday, attorneys representing Barbadian businessman Mark Maloney, requested an extension to produce the information to the court, which is critical in order for the case to proceed.
The court had ordered that this information be produced by September 24, failing which the case would be dismissed.
Radical Investments, the St Lucia-registered, Barbados based company, is suing Good Vibrations Entertainment LLC, the purported supplier of the vaccines, as well as six other companies and individuals, claiming that it was deceived and lured into an elaborate scam to advance US$10.2 million for one million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
