Government may not be ready to roll out their safe zone plan this week, but some businesses in the private sector are.
Entrepreneur and orthodontist Dr Vidya Armogan told the Sunday Sun yesterday that his group of companies had agreed to several COVID-19 safety protocols that employees and customers will have to follow to enter their safe zones.
Armogan, who is also the president of the Barbados Dental Association, revealed that although they had issues with the Government’s Safe Zone Implementation Framework for Public and Private Healthcare Institutions, they were still willing to work with the state to improve their standards.
“The policy is lacking on many fronts, it was never what it should be and that is why we are coming up with our safe zones and asking restaurants to join us because the Government’s safe zone is not coming for another three to four weeks and we are pretty sure that our requirements will be higher than what the Government puts in. . .
