Seven grounds of appeal were put forward when the challenge by former clerical officer Anderson Ryan Ince to his ten-year sentence for stealing Government’s money was heard in the Court of Appeal yesterday.
In 2017, Ince, of Hannays, St Lucy, was found guilty of stealing $1 118 500, belonging to the Psychiatric Hospital, between August 1, 2003, and August 1, 2005.
He was also convicted of engaging in money laundering, in that he engaged in transactions totalling $1 118 500 being the proceeds of crime, between August 1, 2003, and August 1, 2005.
He was sentenced to ten years in prison on each count in 2018. (HLE)
