The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified 328 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, 146 males and 182 females, on Thursday, November 4, and conducted 1 892 tests.
The new positive cases comprised 99 people, who were under the age of 18, and 229 who were 18 years and older.
There were 926 people in isolation facilities, and 6 403 in home isolation.
Three deaths were recorded – two Barbadian females aged 58 and 61, and a 71-year-old Barbadian male. These patients passed away in primary isolation at the Harrison’s Point facility. They were unvaccinated. Their deaths bring the number of people who have died from COVID-19, as at November 4, to 170.
Under the National COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign, the total number of people with at least one dose is 149 799 (65.6 per cent of the eligible population).
A total of 128 816 people (47.5 per cent of the total population or 56.4 per cent of the eligible population) have received their second doses and are fully vaccinated.  The eligible population represents people who are 12 years and older.
The public health laboratory has carried out 398 272 tests since the beginning of the pandemic and recorded 19 516 confirmed cases (9 416 males and 10 100 females) of COVID-19. (MHW/BGIS)
